While it shares the same robust DNA as the Post Grid/Carousel block —utilizing nested WordPress Query Loops and Post Templates—it is pre-configured for a “one-slide-at-a-time” immersive experience. This block allows you to create cinematic transitions for your most important stories while retaining full granular control over the design of each slide.

This block functions as a Hero Container, designed to draw immediate attention to featured posts at the top of a homepage or category archive. By default, it is optimized for a single, high-resolution slide per view, but it remains fully adaptive, allowing you to scale the number of visible posts as needed. Because it uses the native Post Template architecture, you have total creative freedom: you can overlay titles on top of featured images, add “Read More” buttons, or include metadata like the Post Comment count. It inherits the same powerful filtering logic from the Query Loop, ensuring your slider always displays the most relevant, up-to-date content automatically.
